In 2025, Intercom took on an ambitious goal to double the throughput of their engineering team by going beyond building fancy demos, and instead taking advantage of AI tooling to get real features and a large existing SaaS codebase into the hands of paying customers. While this transformation is still a work in progress, Intercom's pace of innovation has always been a competitive strength.
