About the role

As a Solutions Engineer, you will be the technical and consultative expert for onboarding and integrating the technical components of our platform. You will work directly with engineering teams to understand their challenges, design tailored solutions, and ensure a seamless implementation process. This role combines technical expertise, communication skills, and a deep understanding of developer workflows.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead implementation discovery sessions to understand client needs, existing workflows, and goals. Ask thoughtful questions to uncover critical details about the client’s engineering processes, branching strategies, deployment workflows, and tooling.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for clients, providing guidance on best practices for deployment workflows and analytics integrations.
  • Design and propose tailored solutions to integrate the company’s APIs with client workflows.
  • Provide hands-on assistance with technical integrations .
  • Develop scripts or tools as needed to support client implementations.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to align client needs with product capabilities.
  • Share feedback from clients to help inform product enhancements and roadmap priorities.

What makes a great fit

  • Technical Skills:
    • Exposure to programming (Ruby/Rails preferred) with a solid understanding of APIs and RESTful services.
    • Experience with version control systems like Git and the GitHub CLI.
    • Familiarity with SQL
    • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows and branching strategies.
  • Consultative Skills:
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience leading client discussions.
    • Ability to understand complex workflows and recommend solutions.
    • Strong organizational skills to manage follow-ups and deliver resources promptly.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role, such as implementations, professional services, or solutions engineering.
    • Experience working with engineering teams and tools like Tableau, GitHub, or similar developer ecosystems.
