Introducing custom benchmarks in DX
You can now compare yourself directly against a set of specific peer companies, instead of a broad-based segment.

Industry benchmarks are a great way to contextualize metrics, and are one feature that we especially see senior leaders refer to frequently. At DX, we’ve collected more than one million data points across sectors and geographies to make that context as accurate as possible.
Today, we’re announcing that we have taken our benchmarking capabilities a step further with custom benchmarks, which provide the ability to configure a tailored peer group specific to your organization. In other words, you can now compare yourself directly against a set of specific peer companies, instead of a broad-based segment.
Here’s how custom benchmarks work:
Start by reaching out to your customer success manager and sharing what kind of peer group you’d like to be compared against, for example, by company size, industry, or stage. You can suggest specific companies or describe the profile you’re looking for, such as “10 organizations similar to our size.”
From there, the DX team will curate your benchmark group. We do this manually to protect everyone’s privacy: the names of peer companies are never disclosed, and DX matches you based on the companies in our dataset. You provide the criteria and recommendations; we handle the selection. Benchmark groups require a minimum of 10 companies, and we’ve found that’s also the sweet spot for relevance.

We’ve heard this request time and time again, and now you can finally benchmark yourself directly against the competitors and peers that matter most to you.
