About the Role

We are a passionate team energized by making meaningful impacts on both our customers and our company.

As our first Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll sit at the intersection of Pre-Sales, Post-Sales, and Engineering, providing fast, versatile technical solutions throughout the customer lifecycle.

You will become the primary expert guiding customers through installation, operation, customization, and ongoing support of our on-premise products and self-hosted data extractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary technical expert for DX’s on-premise offerings and self-hosted data extractors.
  • Develop and maintain deep understanding of the DX platform and customer-specific requirements to enable successful customizations, configurations, and integrations.
  • Manage and prioritize a queue of development, implementation, and support-related requests.
  • Lead internal R&D initiatives aimed at improving team efficiency and organizational scalability, including process improvements, tooling enhancements, custom reporting, and feature development.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D to ensure smooth product support and customer implementations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to programming (Ruby/Rails preferred) with a solid understanding of APIs and RESTful services.
  • Experience working with different cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc)
  • Experience with version control systems like Git and the GitHub CLI.
  • Familiarity with SQL

Bonus Points if You:

  • Are based in the Salt Lake City area, or you are willing to relocate.
  • Have prior startup experience.
  • Have worked closely with technical audiences (e.g., Platform Engineers, VPs of Engineering, CTOs, CIOs).
