Senior Brand Designer
ApplyAbout DX
DX is one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in the country, helping engineering leaders build high-performing, productive teams. Our platform delivers actionable insights into developer experience and productivity - empowering companies like Netflix, Uber, Dell, Pfizer, and Vanguard to operate at their best.
Backed by ICONIQ and other leading investors, DX has grown from a bootstrapped startup into a category-defining company with a customer base that spans some of the most sophisticated engineering organizations in the world. We’re headquartered in Salt Lake City, profitable, and more than tripling revenue year over year.
About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Brand Designer to elevate and expand the DX visual identity across web, marketing, and print. This is a pivotal role for a seasoned designer who thinks in systems, understands how to scale a brand, and brings an intentional, minimal, and refined aesthetic to every touchpoint.
You’ll shape how DX shows up—from our marketing site and campaigns to events and content design—applying our brand values with clarity and consistency. You’ll collaborate closely with marketing, product, and leadership to uphold a brand that reflects our position as the research-backed developer intelligence platform trusted by the world’s top engineering organizations.
As part of a small, fast-moving team, you’ll balance multiple projects at once and thrive on feedback and collaboration. You’ll iterate quickly—from initial brief to final delivery—and bring a high level of execution to everything you touch.
What you’ll do
- Own end-to-end design across web, marketing, and print—from initial concept through final execution
- Translate complex ideas into simple, clear, and compelling visual narratives that feel both editorial and technical
- Design intentionally across all brand surfaces, ensuring consistency with our system while pushing creative expression
- Maintain and evolve our visual system—typography, color, illustration, and layout—so it scales with clarity and restraint
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and leadership to bring campaigns, launches, and strategic projects to life
- Contribute to the development of our internal brand guidelines and help define scalable practices as the team grows
- Create clean, clear presentation designs that align with our brand and support internal and external storytelling
- Bring a systems mindset to every project—thinking in reusable patterns while executing quickly and with precision
What we’re looking for
- 4+ years of experience designing for modern brands—especially in tech, SaaS, or editorial environments
- Strong web and print design capabilities, with a keen understanding of layout, hierarchy, and visual storytelling
- Solid grasp of UI and UX fundamentals, and how brand intersects with product
- Ability to clearly and concisely tell brand narratives across both digital and physical formats
- Expert-level craft in typography, layout, and minimal design principles
- Deep understanding of visual systems and how to scale a brand without losing its core identity
- Fluency in both web and print workflows—including responsive design, scalable systems, and production-ready assets
- Strong sense of ownership and adaptability—you can take a fuzzy brief and turn it into sharp, intentional design
- Highly skilled in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud; animation or motion design experience is a strong plus
- A portfolio that shows both range and restraint, with clear examples of systems thinking, web design, and creative brand expression
- Based in or willing to relocate to Salt Lake City—this is a hybrid role (3+ days/week in-office)
Why DX
- Competitive compensation and meaningful equity
- 100% covered health, dental, and vision insurance + 401(k) with 4% match
- Profitable, product-led company with massive demand and customer trust
- Research-driven brand with no fluff—clarity, rigor, and craft are core to how we operate
- Zero VC pressure, no bureaucracy, high autonomy, and a product-led culture
- Unlimited PTO and a team that actually takes it
