When Does GenAI Hurt Developer Productivity?

How much do we really know about how GenAI impacts developer productivity, especially in the long term? Are there times when GenAI actually makes teams less productive? The answer to these questions, like so many others is… it depends. Join Nathen Harvey, developer advocate at DORA, and Laura Tacho, CTO at DX, for a conversation on GenAI. Aside from sharing our own experiences and observations, we’re going to look at the most recent DORA research on how GenAI impacts teams and organizations, and get a look into how DORA is approaching measuring the impact of GenAI for the 2024 survey.

Join the conversation to learn:

Discuss short term vs. long term impact of GenAI
Learn and discuss about ways where GenAI has not been shown to increase performance
See how DORA is thinking about GenAI for the 2024 survey and report
